The present day Harris's Old tyme Fair is run by brothers Ted, Robert, John and Fred.Tracing their origins to great -grandfather John Harris, of Chuckfield, Sussex (1833 - 1901) a timber merchant and haulier who also operated a Doby set of horses in the summer months.The fair can been seen throughout Sussex and parts of Surrey and Kent at point-to-points, steam and country fairs and Charter Fairs such as the Findon Sheep Fair and Petworth's Feast of St Edmund the King.
The model depicts a Foden S21 8 wheel Platform & cold cast box and is based upon an authentic Harris trailer. Finished in a striking colour scheme of red , cream and brown, the wording on the box van is in red edged black, model length 18cmm with customer applied mirrors and limited edition certificate | |
