D.R.MacLeod began as an owner-driver operation in 1981 with a Leyland Reiver.In the eighties the first Volvo was purchased signalling a move away from Leyland.There are currently 23 Volvo's in the fleet along with 6 Scania's and 12 DAF's. Based in Stornaway on the Isle of Lewis the Company now has four depots and operating centres in Scotland.
Ford Transit Van - McCulla (Ireland) Ltd. was originally formed as David McCulla & Sons approximately 35 years ago with the founder operating with one truck and refrigerated trailers on a cross channel service. The Company were the first to move refrigerated loads from Ireland to Europe.The Company diversified into cold storage and became McCulla (Ireland) Ltd. and by 1995 the fleet carried a new corporate livery.
