In 1943 very limited numbers of the new Panther were sent to the Italian theatre painted in the basic factory applied dunkelgelb or dark yellow. Units were instructed to apply camouflage patterns of stripes and patches of dark olive green and dark chocolate brown. This version has just the dark brown applied with distinctive four-pronged command antenna common to battalion headquarters tanks.
